Manufacturing process

Manufacturing process overview

Each project begins with the buyer's product requirements. Chandar then reviews feasibility, tooling, sampling, production, inspection, packaging, and shipment needs.

  1. 01

    Project requirements

The buyer provides a drawing or sample photo, target quantity, surface requirement, packaging need, and destination market.

  2. 02

    Feasibility review

Chandar reviews casting feasibility, tooling needs, finishing requirements, inspection expectations, and other project requirements.

  3. 03

    Project quotation

Chandar prepares a quotation based on design complexity, tooling requirements, material, surface finish, packaging, and order quantity.

  4. 04

    Tooling and sample plan

If custom tooling or a sample is required, Chandar confirms the tooling, sampling, and approval plan before production.

  5. 05

    Production requirements

Chandar confirms the casting, finishing, surface-treatment, inspection, and packaging requirements against the approved sample or specification.

  6. 06

    Inspection and shipment preparation

The agreed project plan defines the dimensional, surface, packaging, labeling, and pre-shipment checks required before dispatch.

Quality control

Quality-control checklist

Inspection and testing requirements are agreed for each project from the drawing, finish specification, packaging plan, destination, and applicable document requirements.

  1. 01

    Material requirements

The buyer identifies any material grade, composition, traceability, or batch-document requirements, and Chandar confirms what can be supported for the project.

  2. 02

    Tooling and sample approval

When custom tooling or sampling is required, the buyer and Chandar agree the approval criteria before production.

  3. 03

    Casting criteria

The project specification can define casting and visible-surface criteria appropriate to the part and its application.

  4. 04

    Dimensions and fit

The buyer marks critical dimensions, fit surfaces, and assembly interfaces so Chandar can confirm the applicable inspection plan.

  5. 05

    Surface finish requirements

The confirmed specification defines the coating or surface-finish requirements and any related acceptance criteria.

  6. 06

    Packaging and pre-shipment review

The buyer provides packaging, labeling, carton or pallet, and destination requirements so Chandar can confirm the project-specific pre-shipment plan.

Project inquiry

Quality details to include

Share the product-specific inspection, finish, packaging, and document requirements Chandar should review for the project.

  • Critical dimensions, fit surfaces, or assembly interfaces
  • Surface treatment, coating, or finish expectations
